Faith P. at Stories by Firefly! tagged me for the It’s Show Time tag! So, I shall do that. :) Thanks Faith!
Hello! I am finally back with a Pinterest Friday. It feels like it’s been a while. :) So shall we see the pins? =D
I seriously need this cup. I mean, how amazing is that?!?! I love it :D
Because I love Tarzan and Jane, and my sister and I recently watched “Tarzan”. :)
I don’t often pin Gif’s (“But when I do…” Yes I’ve been on Pinterest too long!) but it’s HTTYD and it’s funny. Plus I’ve seen this episode of the show. (Yes again – there are HTTYD shows, not just movies!)
Because Verity from Poldark is such a sweet character. I really am hoping she gets a happy ending!!! <3
What I’m reading:
I just recently finished beta-reading a friend’s book, and have now begun this book:
Beautiful cover, beautiful story. I love the main character, Mary, especially. Even though I’m only a couple chapters in. :)
So, what are you reading/pinning?
Good day! I was awarded/tagged by the lovely Miss Shantelle over at A Writer’s Heart. Thanks Shantelle! =) The questions look like fun. And since it’s Friday, I thought I’d just go ahead and post this instead of a Pinterest Favourites post. I think I’ll just go ahead and dive right in!
And here are the questions for me to answer:
Thanks again, Shantelle, for the award! Now, here is where I am supposed to name who I shall pass the award onto, but I cannot think of ten bloggers, let alone those who have not already been awarded! So, if anyone is reading this right now who has not been awarded but would like to, please consider yourself nominated!! And just go ahead and used the same questions – I’d love to see other’s answers to them! If you do answer these questions, leave a link for me to see! =)
Hello and happy Friday to ye! :)
I am working on a couple posts for hopefully next week – a couple book reviews, hopefully an update, one just never knows. =D But for today, I have pins to share! So, enjoy!
Yep, HTTYD. Looooove it. :)
Beautiful old letters. Have I ever mentioned how much I love letters? :)
A pretty image of a pretty ship. :)
Isn’t this a cute necklace? I love it. =)
And last, but not least, a favourite quote of mine. :)
For some reason, I haven’t been pinning a ton of things on Pinterest…I guess Summer is too busy for that, unfortunately. ;) I’ve also been busy elsewhere online…have you read Jaye L. Knight’s books? I’ve read the first and then the prequel type one, and was absolutely amazed. My review of “Resistance” is one of the things I’m hoping to post come next week. But yes, so the lovely author, Jaye L. Knight has created a forum for her books and that has been tremendous fun. =)
What am I reading now? Well, I’m stilling reading this:
but I am SO close to being done with it. It is very good, and I’ll have my review soon. :)
I’m also reading this:
Which is also good, and maybe in a couple weeks I’ll have my review of it (I only just started reading the book, but should finish it next week sometime…we’ll see!)
So, that’s enough for now, methinks. How have you been, readers? :)
Another Friday, another post! I thought I was going to have to miss this one, because I have been rather ‘down and out’ recently because of some severe back pain, but praise the Lord it is slowly slowly slowly getting better! At least enough so that I can do this post. :) So I think I’m just going to jump right in:
I just really love this. ^.^
Made Mum and I laugh. Yes, we love nutella!
One more Nutella pin… :D I just wanna have ABS…olutely all the Nutella.
” When I’m out with my mom and see HTTYD merchandise: MOM: What are you doing? ME: Can I please has?!”
Hehe, love this. And you know, couldn’t have a week without pinning something HTTYD! It’s nearly impossible!
And a masquerade mask! I love these things.
I recently finished reading “A Dream Not Imagined” by Shantelle Mary Hannu, which you will all get to hear about again soon when I post my review. :) I am currently reading “Meant to Be Mine” by Becky Wade. :)
What are you pinning and reading this week? :)
Good tidings to ye!
Shall we begin right off with the pins?
Isn’t this beautiful? I think it is quite fetching, and I would really like it, because it would keep my feather dip pen safe from our cat who likes to destroy it…
I thought this was adorable! I might have to do this in my own home one day. :)
I have no idea how this would be done, but it is cool. HTTYD. :)
And why not another pic of something HTTYD related? Hiccup of course. :)
This makes me sad. If you’ve seen the movie, (How to Train Your Dragon 2) you know why.
And to end on a serious note…How true and amazing is this? Beautiful.
I’ve been reading plenty. I finished “The Choosing” by Rachelle Dekker which I will be reviewing on the 27th.
And now I am reading “Five Glass Slippers” by the various authors.
And as a bonus to finish off this post, here is some info on a free book you can get soon:
I reviewed “A Might Fortress” by Faith Blum HERE.
And with that, I wish you a good Weekend!
Hiya, and happy Friday!
How has your week been? Mine has been fairly productive in the writing area, which I am so thrilled about. God is so good! I was getting a little down that I wasn’t writing as much or as fast as many of my friends, but He continually reminds me that I am to write in His time only. And even after a bit of complaining on my side (yes, I know…), He blessed me by letting me write a ton. He is such a loving and merciful God, I am continually amazed by Him! The book I am writing in is the story of my heart; I’ve visited with this story for several years, and now I’m nearing the very end. It’s bittersweet. But I am excited. :)
Anyway! This is a Pinterest post, not a writing (though some pins may be related to it…). So, enjoy!
This is exactly it – God writes the book completely. He gives me the words and the story just comes together.
This quote is beautiful and one to think on, isn’t it?
I just thought this was pretty. I love nearly all things Norse/Vikings.
Aren’t these just adorable?? I want a pair. Toothless wrist warmers. They could keep my wrists warm as I write. ;)

I looooooooooovvvvveeeeeee this video. It’s one of my favourite songs (Tenth Avenue North’s “On and On”) to one of my favourite movies (How to Train Your Dragon, obviously). <3 And while the lyrics are much more beautifuller and have greater meaning when it is in its context, I think this video is still beautiful. *Sigh*
Okay, I’ll try to move on now….
So, this past week I was reading this:
and now I’m reading this…
I greatly enjoyed Sarah Holman’s “Adventures and Adversities”, which you probably know if you read my review that I just posted. :) And I’m sure I’ll enjoy “Remember the Lilies”. :)
Do share about your week – what you’ve done, what you’ve pinned, read, written…etc.! I’d love to hear. :)
Hello and another happy Friday to you! This past week’s favourite pins of mine were primarily from the movie Tarzan, which I happen to really love. I just love Tarzan and Jane as characters. They’re so sweet and just darling. So…here is this week in pins:
This is just lovely, is it not? I do not know who the artist is, but if you are by chance reading this, as always, please let me know and I will give you the credit!
A cute collection of the movie. :)
I love this song, as well as “Son of man” which I also pinned the video of, but won’t bombard you with it here. :) (If you wish, you can go here to see it)
One of my favourite quotes from Peter Pan, which I am also quite fond of. :)
Hehe, I thought this was cute and true. I love “How to Train Your Dragon” very much – books and movies both. :)
And so there it is! If you’re on Pinterest, what were some of your favourite pins this last week?
I also want to make note that I won’t be posting week 3 of this Pinterest favourites, as I have a book review scheduled. I will try to post a Pinterest Favourites post either before or after that – probably on Saturday. :)
Have a good weekend!
Another year is coming to a close. Seems so soon, doesn’t it?
This past year I’ve been able to read quite a few lovely books! In fact, I’ve read over 50 this year, which is a new record for me. :) I thought I would share what books I read this year, and which ones absolutely touched me and remain on my ‘favourite’ list!
So that is it – or at least most of them. These are the ones I added on Goodreads (and the images are from that site as well); there were a couple others that I read, but forgot to add to GR…
As some of you may remember, a good percent of these were review books. I liked more than half of the books I read, which is always a good thing! As for my favourites, it is really hard to choose, and the list might be too long, so I will try to keep it short and list one the ones that I super loved (in no order):
“God’s Daughter” by Heather Day Gilbert
“The Well” and “The Thief” by Stephanie Landsem
“Visible Threat” by Janice Cantor
“Pearl in the Sand” (though I’ve read it numerous times before), and “In the Field of Grace” by Tessa Afshar
“For Such a Time” by Kate Breslin
“Daisies are Forever” by Liz Tolsma
“The Cross Centered Life” by C.J. Mahaney (oh my word was this amazing!! Everyone should read this)
“The House of Mercy” by Alicia R. Ruggieri
“A Broken Kind of Beautiful” by Katie Ganshert
“A Distant Melody” and “A Memory Between Us” by Sarah Sundin
“Kingdom’s Dawn”, “Kingdom’s Hope”, and “Kingdom’s Edge” by Chuck Black
“Love Amid the Ashes” by Mesu Andrews
“The Crown of Anavrea” by Rachel Rossano
“Destiny Defied” and “Destiny Delivered” by J.A. Marx
“Ransomed” By Elizabeth Ender
Like I said, there were many!! I truly adored each of these books and they made huge impacts on my life. :)
So, what books did you read this past year, and which made it to your favourites? I’d love to hear!
I am actually doing a regular post! :D Though it does involve a book…how could it not?
There are some things I am super excited for. I shall list them.
First and foremost, I am most excited about……..
EEEEEEEeeee!! Tessa Afshar’s new book, “In the Field of Grace”!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t add enough exclamation marks. When I think about the book, I will get giddy with excitement, and maybe scream about it a bit.
I. Am. So. Excited.
“In the Field of Grace” releases on July 1st, 2014.
Not soon enough!! :D
All of Tessa Afshar’s books have made an impact on me – from her first, “Pearl in the Sand” (which is linked to this newest book of hers!) to the two Harvest books = “Harvest of Rubies” and “Harvest of Gold”! I have no doubt “In the Field of Grace” will do the same.
Really, at my excitement level, this book should have its own post, but I will continue with a few other releases I am looking forward to. :)
I am looking forward to…
How To Train Your Dragon Two
Which releases June 13th! I know I did already mention in a previous post my excitement for this, but thought I’d do it again. :D Especially since there’s a date now.
I am hoping the second “How to Train Your Dragon” is as good as the first. We’ll see!
And, because I still have not seen it, I am looking forward to…
Which comes out on DVD this Tuesday – the 18th. I’ve heard tons about it and seen a bazillion pins from it on Pinterest, so I’m eager to see it for myself!
And I think I shall end this post here. What are you looking forward to?
