It’s Show Time

Hello :)

Faith P. at Stories by Firefly! tagged me for the It’s Show Time tag! So, I shall do that. :) Thanks Faith!

1.Who’s your favorite actors?
Hmm…I’m not sure I have super favourite actors/actresses…there are some I like, but otherwise…I can at least say Richard Armitage with confidence. In “North and South”. Haven’t actually watched him in much else. But him as Mr. Thornton is amazing.
 Loooooove this picture.:
"I’m well aware that in your eyes at least, I’m not a gentleman. But I think I deserve to know why I am offensive.":
2.Who’s your favorite actress?
Umm, again not sure…I love Justine Waddell in the beloved “Wives and Daughters”!
"He's a very old friend ...He's very kind and not at all like anyone I know, he gave me a wasps nest as a present once." - Molly Gibson (about Roger Hamely), Wives & Daughters <3 Aww!:  Awwwwww. "Yes, yes I will." Hehehe. "Wives and daughters":
and Ruby Bentall in both “Poldark” and “Larkrise to Candleford”
Verity Poldark (Ross' cousin/Francis' sister) (Ruby Bentall) http://www.farfarawaysite.com/section/poldark/gallery.htm: "Extraordinary!" "Right away Ma'am; I'll do it in a minute, Ma'am!" Minnie! (Lark Rise to Candleford)
3.What’s your favorite animated movie?
Oh you just had to ask. Well, one the obvious ones of course, is How To Train Your Dragon!
How to Train Your Dragon:
And I also enjoy other ones…The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Tarzan, etc. :)
probably one of my favorite parts <3....tarzan's face haha: "Fine, fine, fine, fine" -Batman.:
4. Do you like to have a snack while you watch a movie? If so, what’s your favorite?
Oh definitely. :) Umm…favourite…maybe a homemade icecream malt. Otherwise, I love just about anything chocolate!
5.What’s your favorite genre?
I’m gonna echo Faith’s: Genre? Ermm…I don’t know. Clean, no magic, no fear of having to forward…I like some of the English/BBC movies because those are usually clean, and enjoyable!

6.What’s you’re favorite TV shows?
I really only watch TV shows on dvd…not straight from TV, but some favourites are Psych (first few seasons), Call the Midwife (the first couple seasons), Downton Abbey, AFV (that I do watch on tv), and…Larkrise to Candleford. Also, in some of these, we forward/skip, so I don’t wholly recommend them. :)

7.What’s your top favorite movie?
Not quite the fairest question there…I love “Wives and Daughters”. “North and South”. “Persuasion”. The HTTYD movies. So…those. XD

8.Are there any movies coming out soon you can’t wait to see?
I’m looking forward to “Finding Dory”, but with caution…have heard several reports of tears and emotions….
9.What’s your favorite sport based movie?
Don’t know that I have one. I’m not a huge “sports” person. I guess “Facing the Giants”. (That sounded bad… “I guess…” as if it’s not good. That’s not true! It’s a very good movie. :))
10.What was the last movie you watched in the theaters?
I believe it was “Despicable Me 2” – we don’t go to theatres often…prefer to watch at home. :)
As for tagging people…I’m not going to. I know, I can be such a boring person. XP But if you would like to do this one consider yourself tag, and be sure to let me know so that I can read yours too! :)

Hello! I am finally back with a Pinterest Friday. It feels like it’s been a while. :) So shall we see the pins? =D

Mug ... how to train your dragon, dragon, toothless, night fury, mug I NEED this!!!

I seriously need this cup. I mean, how amazing is that?!?! I love it :D

Disney's Tarzan and Jane.. such a good movie!

Because I love Tarzan and Jane, and my sister and I recently watched “Tarzan”. :)

I don’t often pin Gif’s (“But when I do…” Yes I’ve been on Pinterest too long!) but it’s HTTYD and it’s funny. Plus I’ve seen this episode of the show. (Yes again – there are HTTYD shows, not just movies!)

Funniest Minion Quotes Of The Week

Verity Poldark from Poldark, actress Ruby Bentall - she is so sweet!

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award/Tag

Good day! I was awarded/tagged by the lovely Miss Shantelle over at A Writer’s Heart. Thanks Shantelle! =) The questions look like fun. And since it’s Friday, I thought I’d just go ahead and post this instead of a Pinterest Favourites post. I think I’ll just go ahead and dive right in!

Rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site.
  • Put the award logo on your blog.
  • Answer the ten questions sent to you.
  • Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer.
  • Nominate ten blogs.

And here are the questions for me to answer:

  • What genre have you read most of this year?  Oh tough question…I’ve read a fairly wide variety of books so far…The most would probably be Christian fantasy/medieval fantasy, etc.

  • Do you enjoy fairytales? Which ones do you like most? I do enjoy them, but it’s hard because I stay away from magic. I’ve rewritten one of them so far without magic and with a Christian theme, and I’d like to do that with more of them. As for which I like most…hmm. I’ve always been rather fond of Snow White, but ever since writing the Beauty and the Beast story, I absolutely fell in love with the redemption story of that one. :)

  • Favorite dessert? Too many! I guess I’ll go with cherry cheesecake, because that is absolutely amazing! =)

  • Which Disney princess are you most like and why? Well to be honest, I don’t really relate to any of the Princesses. If I was to be in a movie setting like those, it would be something like How to Train Your Dragon. I asked my Mum for her help with this question (it’s easier for someone else to tell you who you’re most like!) and she said I’m kind of like Valka in HTTYD2 – Hiccups Mom. My Mum said ‘She’s calm, and kind, but can defend herself and is strong, yet still gentle, and is rather like a dragon whisperer, which is what you’d be.” Only I’m not her age…XD But yeah, that’s what I’ll go with. Hope that’s okay! I think I’d be more of a viking than a princess. =) S

  • Which Disney prince do you consider the most dashing? So, we don’t watch Frozen, but I love Kristoff. And Tarzan. Technically neither are princes, but they’re close enough, right?!

free frozen clipart | Frozen: Kristoff Clip Art.  Day 15: Favorite Romantic Moment Tarzan and Jane

  • What was your favorite blog post this year? Of my own or others? I’m gonna go with others…but that’s still hard, because I read SO many blog posts. I was really excited to read THIS post of Alica Ruggieri’s. :)

  • A few books you hope to read soon? I’m waiting for two review books that I am SO excited for. They are “Not by Sight” by Kate Breslin and “Through Waters Deep” by Sarah Sundin!

  • Favorite book of the year? I’ve already read SO many books this year, and this question is way too hard…The following books will make my absolutely favourites list of the year: “The Tomb” by Stephanie Landsem, “The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest” by Melanie Dickerson, “Not Abandoned” by MacKenzie Morganthal, “Brothers-in-Arms” by Jack Lewis Baillot, “The Fragrance of Geraniums” by Alicia Ruggieri and “Resistance” by Jaye L. Knight. Sooo many good ones!!

  • Summer or winter? This doesn’t even require a nanosecond of a thought – WINTER!!

Lovely!

  • One goal you have? Hmm..Well, ultimately I want to follow wherever God leads. But one dream/goal I have that I hope will be accomplished soon is being published. :)

Thanks again, Shantelle, for the award! Now, here is where I am supposed to name who I shall pass the award onto, but I cannot think of ten bloggers, let alone those who have not already been awarded! So, if anyone is reading this right now who has not been awarded but would like to, please consider yourself nominated!! And just go ahead and used the same questions – I’d love to see other’s answers to them! If you do answer these questions, leave a link for me to see! =)

Pinterest Favourites Friday week 18

Hello and happy Friday to ye! :)

I am working on a couple posts for hopefully next week – a couple book reviews, hopefully an update, one just never knows. =D But for today, I have pins to share! So, enjoy!

Yep, HTTYD. Looooove it. :)

Beautiful old letters. Have I ever mentioned how much I love letters? :)

19th Century Sailing Photos | Sailor Mouth Saturday: Duck

A pretty image of a pretty ship. :)

Isn’t this a cute necklace? I love it. =)

LOVE this quote

And last, but not least, a favourite quote of mine. :)

For some reason, I haven’t been pinning a ton of things on Pinterest…I guess Summer is too busy for that, unfortunately. ;) I’ve also been busy elsewhere online…have you read Jaye L. Knight’s books? I’ve read the first and then the prequel type one, and was absolutely amazed. My review of “Resistance” is one of the things I’m hoping to post come next week. But yes, so the lovely author, Jaye L. Knight has created a forum for her books and that has been tremendous fun. =)

What am I reading now? Well, I’m stilling reading this:

The Good, the Bad, and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family, and Forgiveness -by Jep Robertson, Jessica Robertson, Susy Flory but I am SO close to being done with it. It is very good, and I’ll have my review soon. :)

I’m also reading this:

A Bride at Last by Melissa Jagears http://smile.amazon.com/dp/0764211706/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_dp_LfIwub1QZ5WR0 Which is also good, and maybe in a couple weeks I’ll have my review of it (I only just started reading the book, but should finish it next week sometime…we’ll see!)

So, that’s enough for now, methinks. How have you been, readers? :)

Pinterest Favourites Friday Week 15

Hello!

Another Friday, another post! I thought I was going to have to miss this one, because I have been rather ‘down and out’ recently because of some severe back pain, but praise the Lord it is slowly slowly slowly getting better! At least enough so that I can do this post. :) So I think I’m just going to jump right in:

I just really love this. ^.^

Hehehe!.

Made Mum and I laugh. Yes, we love nutella!

I Just Wanna Have Abs...olutely All The Nutella

One more Nutella pin… :D I just wanna have ABS…olutely all the Nutella.

XD ” When I’m out with my mom and see HTTYD merchandise: MOM: What are you doing?  ME: Can I please has?!”

Hehe, love this. And you know, couldn’t have a week without pinning something HTTYD! It’s nearly impossible!

Metallic Blue And Black Lace Masquerade Mask Blue by SOFFITTA

And a masquerade mask! I love these things.

I recently finished reading “A Dream Not Imagined” by Shantelle Mary Hannu, which you will all get to hear about again soon when I post my review. :) I am currently reading “Meant to Be Mine” by Becky Wade. :)

What are you pinning and reading this week? :)

Pinterest Favourites Friday Week 14

Good tidings to ye!

Shall we begin right off with the pins?

Perfect!!! It's pretty AND it will keep my pretty-much-destroyed fountain feather pen safe from our cat :D

Isn’t this beautiful? I think it is quite fetching, and I would really like it, because it would keep my feather dip pen safe from our cat who likes to destroy it…

cute!

I thought this was adorable! I might have to do this in my own home one day. :)

I have no idea how this would be done, but it is cool. HTTYD. :)

Hiccup Horendous Haddock the Third

And why not another pic of something HTTYD related? Hiccup of course. :)

Hiccup, Stoick, and Valka. The Haddock Family *sniff* and *tears*

This makes me sad. If you’ve seen the movie, (How to Train Your Dragon 2) you know why.

You are worth it.

And to end on a serious note…How true and amazing is this? Beautiful.

I’ve been reading plenty. I finished “The Choosing” by Rachelle Dekker which I will be reviewing on the 27th.

The Choosing - Rachelle Dekker, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23627067-the-choosing?ac=1

And now I am reading “Five Glass Slippers” by the various authors.

Five Glass Slippers: A Collection of Cinderella Stories

And as a bonus to finish off this post, here is some info on a free book you can get soon:

Do you like free books? "A Mighty Fortress" will be free May 18-22, 2015. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GPDQVC2 Free May 18th-22nd 2015

I reviewed “A Might Fortress” by Faith Blum HERE.

And with that, I wish you a good Weekend!

Pinterest Favourites Week Five

Hiya, and happy Friday!

How has your week been? Mine has been fairly productive in the writing area, which I am so thrilled about. God is so good! I was getting a little down that I wasn’t writing as much or as fast as many of my friends, but He continually reminds me that I am to write in His time only. And even after a bit of complaining on my side (yes, I know…), He blessed me by letting me write a ton. He is such a loving and merciful God, I am continually amazed by Him! The book I am writing in is the story of my heart; I’ve visited with this story for several years, and now I’m nearing the very end. It’s bittersweet. But I am excited. :)

Anyway! This is a Pinterest post, not a writing (though some pins may be related to it…). So, enjoy!

By God. He writes through me, and I am so thankful!

This is exactly it – God writes the book completely. He gives me the words and the story just comes together.

Praise God!

This quote is beautiful and one to think on, isn’t it?

.

I just thought this was pretty. I love nearly all things Norse/Vikings.

toothless wrist warmer:http://www.etsy.com/listing/162719628/sale-35-off-toothless-how-to-train-your?ref=market

Aren’t these just adorable?? I want a pair. Toothless wrist warmers. They could keep my wrists warm as I write. ;)

<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/dOsC6ldpFSE&#8221; frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen>

I looooooooooovvvvveeeeeee this video. It’s one of my favourite songs (Tenth Avenue North’s “On and On”) to one of my favourite movies (How to Train Your Dragon, obviously). <3 And while the lyrics are much more beautifuller and have greater meaning when it is in its context, I think this video is still beautiful. *Sigh*

Okay, I’ll try to move on now….

So, this past week I was reading this:

New blog post: Book review Adventures and Adversities (Tales of Taelis Book 1) by Sarah Holman                and now I’m reading this…         Remember the Lilies my review- http://reviewingnovelsonline.blogspot.com/2015/02/remember-the-lilies-liz-tolsma.html

I greatly enjoyed Sarah Holman’s “Adventures and Adversities”, which you probably know if you read my review that I just posted. :) And I’m sure I’ll enjoy “Remember the Lilies”. :)

Do share about your week – what you’ve done, what you’ve pinned, read, written…etc.! I’d love to hear. :)
