I have a hard time believing it is already July, but so it is. Crazy. June was a very busy month life-wise and book-wise for me, but please forgive me if I don’t go into too much detail as I’m a bit drained and can’t remember a lot of details at the moment. :)
Oh, my blog here (and I) was interviewed recently on Inkwell Inspirations! You can check that out here, if you’d like:
And shall we continue on with this post with books?
I read a total of 9 books, I believe. Which is a great many for me. Those books were:
If I’ve posted my review of the book, clicking on the image will lead you to that review.
Which was my favourite, you might ask? Hmm… Probably “High as The Heavens” by Kate Breslin and “Dreams and Devotion” by Sarah Holman. :)
As for books I got over the month:
These are my current review books. As you can see from the top list, I’ve already read “Under a Summer Sky” and will be posting my review within the next day or so. This month will be filled with more book reviews, so prepare yourselves. ;)
Yes, that is a Chik-Fil-A calander in the background. No, I have not had the pleasure of eating there yet, but my dearest darling friend was so kind to share this calander with me because she didn’t need it! And I love calanders. And cows. Really love cows.
So yes, more Susan May Warren books this month. :D I mean, she’s a Minnesotan author. Of course I need her books! ;)
Most of these books I got online, and I won the book “Arise to Fall” and the little tan book beside it that is related to this book, so that’s fun. So many good things to read!
And this is just a pretty picture, because I’m excited about finally buying this book, and I love bottles. Those are not the only ones in my collection, but I shan’t be sharing a picture of that here. ^.^
As for life…we’ve been very busy. My nephews have spent a lot of time here, which keeps us well-occupied. :) We’ve also been dealing with a predator problem again. Night after night whatever it is was getting chicken after chicken till we went from 12 to 8. And they weren’t easy catches either – we lock our chickens up every night. Whatever it was tunneled under or found a way through the top. We’re not actually entirely sure…
Dad put a trap out and we did get a skunk, and the trail camera we set out has captured plenty of raccoons, and then we also found a dead small weasle in the barn one morning – the cats must’ve gotten it. One night after 10pm we had a run in with whatever creature had returned, but it ran off into the darkness behind the barn before Dad could get it. Not a good situation! But we did recently get 13 more layers, and so far we haven’t lost anymore. Praying it stays that way!
June was also filled with several bad storms, one leaving us without power for a whole day. But we “weathered” that out. :)
And if you’ve made it this far in this long post, here’s a reward picture of my baby kitty having to sit by my record player. She placed herself there…
How has your June been? Have you read any of the same books as I did in June? :)
Great post, Raechel! Oh my, lots of lovely books. <3 <3 Wonderful interview too! :)
Thanks Faith! :) It was fun, and I was honoured to be interviewed there! Thanks for commenting! :)
Look at all the prett book covers! *heart eyes* I love your bottle collection and how you arranged it for that picture, so cute! I’m so sorry to hear about what a hard time you’ve had with the predator and I hope these new layers stay very safe! Anyway, last comment: Half-Face and the record player- SO CUTE!! :D <3
I know! So pretty! Book covers are a weakness of mine. ;) Aw, thanks! <3 <3 Isn't it?! I love my Half-Face, and record player too. XD Thanks for commenting, Bezzie! <3
