It’s too hot. In the upper 90’s all week. This is MN for goodness sake! Not somewhere south. We all want to go up to Duluth, to Lake Superior, but unfortunately a few things stop us.
Living on a farm should get one used to animals dying, right? Wrong. Well, I guess I have become somewhat used to it, but I really never completely used to things dying. I am just so dang tired of kittens not making it. I’m just thankful that at I hadn’t grown attached to these kittens yet.
Ever heard some kitten horror stories? I’ve seen them, and it was pretty scaring. I mean, who wants to see a dead kitten’s head, and few other parts of the body laying in different places, because it was sick, and the Mum did what they do? That was two years ago I believe.
This year, just yesterday, I almost stepped on a dead kitten, and then just about watched Jessy kill her kittens too. Who knows if she did or not. Mum’s going to find out this morning, because she’s a Mum. That’s what Mum’s are for, right? Right. Yeah, I know. I am a horrible sissy/baby when it comes to my cats/kittens.
Anyway, moving on to end on a happier note!
Sassy’s kittens are all beautifully healthy! Though it turns out Astrid might be a boy… But we’re pretty sure Trella, Alaytheea and my baby Darya are all girls. Yes, Darya is my little Russian baby completely! So adorable :) Trella and Alaytheea are adorable too, just a bit naughty…okay, a bit more than a little. :P
