Glasses

For those of you who know not, I need reading glasses, for I am near-sighted, or something like that :P
I took a couple pictures of me with the glasses on, so ye all could see. It’s difficult to remember them, though…I’m either reading/writing or on the computer a lot, so…yes. Anyway, here are the photos.

And while I’m at it, I have some photo’s that I wanted to post a while ago, just ’cause their cool!

This is basically what I am learning at the moment :)

My gorgeous type-writer :)

If you can’t tell from the last three pictures, I was playing around with the camera and it’s settings :P

Book review….

I am still apart of blogging-for-books, and so finally here is my review for “Dug Down Deep” by Joshua Harris!

“Dug Down Deep” is unlike any book I’ve ever read. I was so inspired, and challenged as I read it. There were many many times I had to set the book down, so I could think about the questions he was asking, and simply what he was saying. I can honestly say it has deepened my relationship with Christ, and has been such a blessing to me!
I recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
It is a non-fiction read, that shapes God’s truths, and uncovers them. A thought-provoking book. No matter where you stand in your faith, this book is for you. I can assure you that you will learn something from it, for certain!
I give this book easily 5 stars.

Oklahoma!

The play “Oklahoma!” was put on in our town theater. Well, still will be too, actually. A number from our church were involved in it, one having one of the leading roles.
Last night was the ‘Premier’ of it, with only friends and family. We were so blessed to be able to go!! Our Pastor, his wife, and their daughter were all in it (in one way or another) and each member involved in the play, got two tickets to give to friends/family so they could have an audience but not a full crowd, to practice on.
The play was good. Most of the acting was great. I can’t say Oklahoma! is a favourite play/movie of mine, (though this was my first time seeing it, besides when I was really really little.) but it was pretty good. I didn’t like the amount of kissing though. For the play in particular. I can’t image being in a play, and having to kiss someone you don’t ‘know’ or aren’t married to – which was the case in this. The husband was alright with his wife kissing some other dude, because ‘I know she’s mine, without a doubt.’ okkaayyyy. Well, I still would think that even if you’re sure of her, you wouldn’t want her kissin’ someone besides you! Just my opinion though, I guess.
The ‘dream sequence’ I did not like. The dancing. I know it’s in the movie, but it was inappropriate.
I apologize if any of this sound a bit..up-set or anything. I’m tired, running off of a little sleep, and something happened last night during the play that I’m not willing to share. It’s nothing horrible, just something my mind needs to give up. All in all, Ii’m tired, a bit on the exhausted side, somewhat close to tears, and the play was well-put on. :D

Introducing…Lady Brynn

Yes, this post is devoted to my lovely character, Lady Brynn. I am half way done with her story, and adore it. The Lord is really the one writing it, so glory goes to Him! It’s an awesome story, and I love watching what God will write next!
So, what I decided to do in this post, is use all the questions for Beautiful people. I missed a ton of them, except one, which I did on another character. So beware, this might be a longish post! First off, I shall share a picture of Brynn that Mum and I found on Google, and is pretty much her. I mean it fits her almost to a tee!

I haven’t had Brynn wear a white dress like this yet, but mayhaps I shall…:) (Oh and btw, I had to make the middle picture. Yeah, it’s bad, but it has a meaning.) One of her main dresses, that she actually later gives to a friend, sort of looks like Rapunzel’s dress from Tangled,

Or maybe even this:

But I still think the tangled one fits hers much better.
Anyway, without further adu, here she is!

What is their full name? Brynn Corture
Does his or her name have a special meaning?
Not in particular. I like it :)
Does your character have a methodical or disorganized personality?
methodical, I guess.

Does he or she think inside themselves more than they talk out loud to their friends? (More importantly, does he or she actually have friends?) Both. It’s pretty balanced. And yes, she has friends. Her brother most of all, and soon to be more friends.
Is there something he or she is afraid of? I haven’t really thought that far
Does he or she write, dream, dance, sing, or photograph? Doesn’t really write, dreams yes, and dances and sings when praising her King.
What is his or her favourite book? (or genre of books) The Bible
Who is his or her favourite author and/or someone that inspired him or her? The Author and Finisher of her faith.
Favourite flavor of ice cream? Ice cream? :P Doesn’t have ice cream really. Food isn’t much involved :)
Favourite season of the year?
Spring/Autumn

1. How old is he/she? around 17
2. What does he/she do in his/her spare time. Spends time in Him.
3. Does he/she see the big picture, or live in the moment? Sees the big picture as much as human can. Yet also lives in the moment.
4. Is he/she a perfectionist? not really
5. What does his/her handwriting look like? (round, slanted, curly, skinny, sloppy, neat, decorative, etc) I guess I don’t really know… neat I’d imagine.
6. Favorite animal? all sorts of animals. She has a love for all God’s Creations.
7. Does he/she have any pets? Not really
8. Does he/she have any siblings, how many, and where does he/she fit in? She has an older brother. They are like best friends, very close.
9. Does he/she have a “life verse” and if so what is it? so many come to mind, but a couple that started this book are “My times are in Your hand” which is in Psalms and “He must increase, but I must decrease” from John.
10. Favorite writing utensil? I’d imagine a sharp pencil, if she wrote often.

What type of laugh does she have? A soft, sweet, gentle laugh.

Who is her best friend? Probably her brother

What is her family like? Wonderful, godly, God-honouring. The parents are Duke and Duchess over their village, which is titled “Lorenfolke village court” :)

Is she a Christian, or will she eventually find Jesus? Definitely a Christian. She loves the King with all her heart and soul.

Does she believe in fairies? No.

Does she like hedgehogs? Yes!

Favorite kind of weather? Cool, warm days that proclaim the King’s beauty.

Does she have a good sense of humor? If so what kind? Hmm…I wouldn’t say she really has a sense of humor that much. If she does, it is a very quiet and gentle sort.

How did she do in school, or any kind of education she might have had? Schooled by her parents, very well.

Any strange hobbies? Depends on what is strange.

What kind of music does she like? She doesn’t listen to anything specific.

Does she like to go outside? Oh yes! She adores rivers and water of any kinds.

Is she naturally curious? To an extent

Right, or left handed? Right

Favorite Color? lighter colours. Pinks, purples, etc.

Where’s she from? LorenFolke Village Court.

Any enemies? Yes, yes, yes.

What are her quarks? Only the Lord knows :) I guess one thing could be her sword. She loves it and cherishes it.

What kind of things get on her nerves? I don’t really know. People who chose not to know God, saddens her.

Is she independent, or need others to help out? She can be both, she has a good balance.

So there is a bit about my Lady Brynn! If you have any questions, do ask! :)

The Way We Live Now

Mum, Dallas and I started “The Way We Live Now” yesterday. (Yes, Dallas came over!) and it really is quite an interesting movie. Really really weird, slightly creepy, and just strange. Intriguing though.
One of the girls, who was some creepy guys daughter – the family was from France, now living in England – had such a weird, icky voice! It sounded exactly like Gollum from LOTR. We had to laugh at it. Oh and Matthew Mcfaden is in it, and nothing like he is as Mr.Darcy. He’s almost annoying in this movie! Such a baby.
Oh and if you haven’t figured it out, TWWLN is a BBC movie :) We haven’t finished it yet. Dallas doesn’t desire to.

Busy, busy, busy

I’m quite sure I’ve used that title before..

So much has been going on that it would take too long to explain everything. So I won’t :D
One thing I will say however is..
My Dad is in Duluth, which makes me jealous. He’ll be back today though. He went up on Sunday, after the puppet show Mum and I did for church. He went up to clean my grandparents pontoon boat.

Yesterday, I cleaned not one, not two, not three, but FOUR cages. Three guinea pigs and one hamsters. (Which is really a fish tank…)
I was so tired after that. And I still wasn’t done! You see, apparently fruit flies are attracted to guinea pigs…yep, bingo. My ‘zoo’ room was infested. Parts of the wall were almost black there were so many. So I cleaned all the cages, vacuumed, then Mum vacuumed some more, then I vacuumed some more. We had to clean the whole room out. And trust me, that is almost like a night-mere. For those of you who don’t know, the room that my guinea pigs are in, is pretty much the zoo/office. It’s no longer my bed room, since Dallas got married.
With Mum’s (huge) help we completely redid this room. Which actually isn’t saying much, because it’s the size of a cracker box…
So yes, that’s almost all done.Just a few more things I have to do today.

Happy 4th!

Happy Fourth of July to you all! We aren’t doing anything today! Yay :) We did it last night.
After Church, we went down to Hutch (a town) and met Dallas and David at the ducky place. It’s this fenced in area, for geese, ducks, and dear. Sometimes turkeys too. Anyway. So we fed the ducks/geese/deer until we ran out of our old bread (we were using the left over buns from the wedding!), then we went to Menards, because both Dad and David had to get some stuff. While Dad ‘shopped’ Mum, Noah and I went to the indoor patio section and sat down. Some dude came up to us, and asked if we had any questions…Uh…”Is this building water proof?” Just kidding ;) I didn’t say that.
After Menards, we (being Dad, Mum, Noah and I) went to Cashwise got stuff we needed, and finally went home. Dallas and David came out shortly after us, and as soon as it got dark we lit the fireworks! David had to go to Wisconsin the other day, and so picked up some fireworks :D It was fun. We used most of the ones he bought, but he is saving some too.
If it wasn’t so buggy last night, it would have been even better. I was getting eaten alive – I’ve welts on my legs from those nasty things.
But yes, good times!
Happy Fourth!

Power

Isn’t power/electricity a wonderful thing? Being without it for just about 24 hours really makes one thankful for when it’s on.
Friday evening, a horrible storm passed through. Tornado weather. Thankfully nothing touched down, or anything. At one point, Dad and I were outside just watching the sky. It wasn’t raining quite yet. As I stood on the deck, with my eyes toward the sky, I saw clouds starting to swirl slowly. And it was a vast circle of clouds. Mum said if it was swirling faster it could’ve been an F4 or F5, with how large it was. It was incredibly interesting to watch.
As Mum and I were making dinner, it got really quiet. And the sky turned this eerie shade of green! Dad said be prepared if we have to go into the basement, just in case. Though, nobody wanted to go into the basement, because 1. it’s creepy 2. there’s no lights, because the power went off 3. water was pouring in there too.
But I gathered my couple stories that I couldn’t bear to lose, and Noah got her favourite stuffed animals.
After the quietness/stillness passed, it started to pour down rain in heavy sheets, blowing hard. We had a lake practically in half our yard. It did dry up very fast though, soaking into the ground. The violent wind tore down a huge limb of one of our trees, and many branches of others. Our Apple trees made it though, as did our garden, praise God!! He was surely watching over us :)
But yeah, we didn’t have power from 6:00pm till yesterday afternoon, at about 4:00pm, when Mum and I were about to go to Dallas’s house to use their shower :D
